Gretchen Scheidel, PhD, LP
Dr. Scheidel has a special knack for connecting with kids. Teens and adults find her to be genuine and sensitive. A real “assessment geek,” she spends off-hours staying up on the “latest and greatest.”
When she’s not working, Dr. Scheidel loves to play community sports, build with Legos, and go to Prince Puckler’s (for ice cream!)

Fun fact! Dr. Scheidel has about 100 “novelty socks.” Her 3 favorite pairs: “taco-saurus,” “disco sasquatch,” and “skateboarding dinos.”
Jennifer Hogansen, PhD, LP
Dr. Hogansen is a calm and compassionate presence throughout the assessment journey. She takes a careful, thoughtful approach to her work. She has special expertise in assessments involving developmental differences and traumatic brain injuries (including concussion).
When she’s not working, Dr. Hogansen loves to spend time with her family (including her fur family). She enjoys outdoor activities (such as camping and river rafting), as well as reading mystery and sci-fi novels.
Experience & Training
For over 20 years, Dr. Hogansen has specialized in providing comprehensive assessments to children and adults. Before joining our practice in April 2021, she served the community for 13+ years through The Corvallis Clinic.

Active in professional organizations including the American Psychological Association, the Oregon Psychological Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology, and the International Neuropsychological Society.
Fun Fact! Dr. Hogansen loves watching Marvel Cinematic Universe films and TV series. She would love to have Dr. Strange’s superpowers!
Julie Higdon — Practice Manager
With over 25 years of business management experience, Julie is exceptionally skilled and “on-top-of-it.” She guides clients through the process with warmth and understanding.
Julie loves spending time with family — especially her grandbabies. She enjoys reading books (psychological thrillers and mysteries are favorites) and wine tastings. Julie is always up for an adventure and an opportunity to travel.
Fun fact! Julie is a scuba diver. Julie completed her night certification dive in Cozumel, Mexico, and has come face-to-face with a huge sea lion!
Carrie Cannon — Office Assistant
Since graduating in ‘02 with an English degree, Carrie has worked in technical writing, business communication, and admin — so she’s skilled in writing, editing, and tech. (“Did you try turning it off and back on again?”)
Carrie is into composting and gardening. She will pet your dog.
Fun fact! Carrie can recite the first half of the Prologue to the Canterbury Tales… in Middle English!
