Use transcription.
Record (audio or video) your child’s writing assignments.
Then, another person or voice recognition software can transcribe your child’s words.
After that, your child and an adult (a parent or teacher) can work together to edit the work, either orally or on paper.

SnapType — OT-designed app that “makes it easy to complete any school worksheet on an iPad/ Tablet”
Speech-to-Text software, such as: Dragon Anywhere, Voice Control for Mac (free), Google Type with Your Voice (free), Windows Speech Recognition (free)

Allow the use of tech for assignment completion, such as:
Outlining and organization software
Dictation software
Audio- or video-recordings (for responses)
Assign fewer and/or shorter:
Written assignments
Essay responses on tests (and for essays to to be “weighed” less on test scores)
Provide class notes (before class, so the student can follow along), or a note-taker
